Thanks for your well wishes last night and this morning…

Dear Comrades,
Thanks for your well wishes last night and this morning. All participants – and in particular DAPSY and PEMUDA HARAPAN members who attended the peaceful march this morning have safely returned with no untoward incidents. Some of out mahasiswa Roket comrades were intimated and even reportedly chased away by some police when they arrived by LRT at Bangsar but was resolved when our young comrades turned around.
I would like to thank Unit Tindak led by Sdr Lee Kai Ming who offered a strong team of Marshalls to the organising secretariat for crowd management. As usual, they did a sterling job working with other groups. I would also like to thank DAPSY and DAPSY state comms, branches and divisions who mobilised members to join the rally despite the multiple challenges. It was great to see faces of our comrades dotted through the crowd.
Despite the whole KL city centre being locked down, forcing us to change location last minute to Bangsar, and subsequently even Bangsar was locked down with massive police presences closing off all entrances and exits, the turnout was remarkably high. There was no less than 500 at the starting point which then eventually grew to 650-700 towards the end.
Apart from a minor incident late last night when the police tried to prevent some of us from leaving the venue, which was overcome swiftly, it was a safe and successful event. Certainly a strong base to build on moving forward in representing the voices of the angered and suffering majority.
I have unfortunately been called for statement and question by the police this coming monday at 2 o clock in Brickfields IPD. I have informed Sdr Gobind and he will arrange for our legal team to accompany me.
That is all for today. I am now heading back to Perak now.
Thanks
